Home to the only Jack Nicklaus signature golf course in Cancún and is set on the rolling Cancún - Rivera Maya landscape. It's dynamic layout requires golfers to navigate through native vegetation as well as numerous wetlands and strategically placed bunkers. Located just 40 minutes south of Cancun and across the bay from the exotic island of Cozumel lies the peaceful little native fishing village of Playa del Carmen. Within this quite enclave, a private development called Playacar beckons you to experience the par 72 championship golf course designed by world renowned Robert Von Hagge. Great for a Cancun golf package.

The course is carved through the lush Mayan jungles where it awaits any golfer to come and tame it. "Cenotes" and Rejolladas (natural drains formed centuries ago) come into play on almost every hole.

The Club House is a covered palapa style structure with uncovered terraces overlooking the golf course. The club house contains a pro-shop, locker rooms, dining room, air conditioned lounge and small meeting room.

Location: On the golf course at Playacar - an 18 hole, par 72, championship course where water comes into play on 5 holes, with the remaining 13 carved thru dense jungle, Mayan ruins, and natural sinkholes, the typical terrain of the Yucatan Peninsula. Designed by Robert Von Hagge in 1994 with a full array of services including Club house, showers-lockers, pro shop, restaurant, bar, pool, tennis courts, on-course beverage cart, palapa for social events, meeting room.

How To Get There: Located in the Playacar Development, directly adjacent to small town of Playa del Carmen, on the Caribbean coast, state of Quintana Roo. Approximately 56 km (38 miles) south from the Cancun International Airport on Highway 307 and 21 km (13 miles) west from Cozumel Island via ferry or airplane.

Opened in the middle of September 2008, The Riviera Cancun Golf Club is the most recent addition to Cancun. Jack Nicklaus has done a remarkable job carving this gem using the natural contours of the terrain. This course boasts strategic bunkering, immaculate greens, wooden bridges and the peaceful tranquility of the natural reserve that surrounds the course. Golfers will also enjoy the ocean views on holes 14 and 15.

The spectacular Mexican-Contemporary Club house greets guests before they begin their journey over bridges, through the dunes, mangroves and lakes which are only some of the elements which make this course visually stunning. Riviera Cancun Golf Club has the support of two prestigious companies, the Palace Resorts who already have Moon Palace and Playacar in their portfolio. The resort is 100% Mexican owned and is located in the Hotel Zone and only 5 minutes from the airport.
